he was a teacher.
he made two gold records. one brilliant, but not well-received. the other an ambitious "greatest hits".
no one's come calling yet, but you never know.
he was one of those. one of the ones you think will be there, for you to meet some day. in person, to prove they are flesh. real. a man, and that they are simply that.
but that didn't happen for me.
he made his dreams real, and as i wrote above, he shared them with us. he took us far from home and helped to bring us closer to a new home. (maybe.)
he died, and i think - he did all that he could with his life, and more.
and i thank him for that.
